BAAHBaa Beer Week 2012
Ladies and Gentlemen of the beer guzzling kind - yes, all the SF beer lovers readied themselves to move their belts back a few notches and lifted their pint glass in unison for an entire week dedicated to all things hoppy, fermented, and frothy!
Beer week has officially come and gone and everyone made sure to act quick before the taps ran dry. Actually, I wish we would've acted a bit quicker on the day we decided to join the hopped up celebration...
I do enjoy drinking beer very much however, it's definitely not my drink of choice but, festival is my pastime of choice so I naturally jumped at the chance to partake in the week long celebration. My friends and I attended the Beer and Chocolate Festival in Richmond (no not Inner Richmond, actual Richmond, yes, the "I've never even heard of somewhere so far out of the city" Richmond...don't ask). Anyway, we find ourselves taking several legs of BART and free shuttles and FINALLY get to the giant warehouse on the water that holds the Beer and Chocolate Festival each year.
Boy am I glad we made the hike, my only regret was that we did not come sooner! Sadly, the taps were running dry, and the slew of sluggy beer monsters were wearily waiting in lines that stretched and curled throughout the tent filled warehouse, for one last taste of local brew.
The festival was filled with not only local brewmiesters but, local chocloatiers came to satisfy the crowds sweet cravings with deliciously cream treats that tasted exceptionally ah-mazing followed by a big swig of amber ale.
